‘The Brahms Trilogy’

House concert series ‘The Brahms Trilogy’ is a three parts lecture-concert series for violin and piano designed by Katharina. The series presents music by Brahms and male and female composer around him. The instruments performed with are period instruments, the piano a ‘Brahms piano’ (Streicher & Söhne, Vienna, 1897) alongside the ‘back then’ used pure gut strings on the violin from 1830ies. The concerts are historically informed and include fun tales and interesting facts being told. This is an ‘all senses inclusive’ project, as it is a revival of the at Brahm’s times widely common and beloved private house concerts, which always included food – therefore, wine from Austria, and cheese will be served.

The Healing Violine – The Alzheimer’s Project’

’The Healing Violin – The Alzheimer’s Project’ founded by Katharina in 2020. Highly specialized in playing with violin solo for persons with severe memory loss, and opening the space for the person to be met by their loved ones through the music.
Recipient of a mini-grant by Symphony New Hampshire (SNH) for ’The Healing Violin – The Alzheimer’s Project’ in October 2020, and was commissioned to create her video ‘The Healing Violin – The Alzheimer’s Project’, aired in summer 2021 on the SNH website.
